This month – National Safety Month – we are excited to unveil a new look for the next chapter of safety leadership. Our new look pays homage to the heritage of the green cross, while incorporating a modernized appearance. The four corners of the logo, which together form a cross, represent the NSC values: Be Safe - a commitment to our mission of safety; Be Bold - to challenge the status quo; Be Impactful - to exceed expectations; and Be NSC - to collaborate with others to achieve results. While our logo has changed, our commitment to safety is stronger than ever.
Keeping people safe is what we do. In fact, we’ve been keeping people safe for more than 100 years. Our work is more critical now than ever. As we kick off a month all about safety, we renew our commitment to be America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate.
We remain dedicated to eliminating the leading causes of preventable death and injury, focusing our efforts on the workplace, roadway and impairment. And, as the risks around us change, we will continue to do whatever it takes to create a culture of safety in every workplace across the country.
Whether it’s leading the SAFER: Safe Actions for Employee Returns task force, redesigning in-person training courses for the virtual, online age, or ensuring people are ready to return to work and driving by addressing the leading causes of impairment, we exist to address the safety needs of the nation’s workforce, now and in the future.
We aim to not only make people safer at work, but also to ensure they are safer beyond the workplace. We do what we do because we know the cost of doing nothing.
