How does TRUCE Software measure their technology's effectiveness in the field?
According to the NSC, 39% of the total occupational fatalities for 2019 were from workplace transportation incidents. Distracted driving is one of the biggest factors. Broadly, drivers are pinged about every 4-6 miles (on corporate devices). This means any employee who drives as a key part of their job is expected to do the right thing all day, every day – despite their social conditioning to constantly pay attention to their phones. TRUCE is an engineering control for digital distractions. Last year TRUCE stopped unauthorized app use more than 97 million times and intercepted over 35 million incoming notifications. When partnering with customers, we establish specific program goals that support their company goals, which often involves reducing accidents and related costs. For example, a third party analysis found that 5,500 employees protected by TRUCE achieved: (a) 360% return on investment over three years (b) Payback period in less than 3 months (c) Benefits equaling $12.5M, with a net present value of $9.8M -$9.8M in cost savings due to avoided vehicle damage, and (d) $2.7M in auto-liability policy cost savings.
